Pretty simple.

Our founder's name is David Levy (www.davelevy.com) and he was looking for some variation on his initials to use as a company name.

After looking around on Wikipedia he found the British Royal Navy phonetic alphabet used during World War I had "duff" for D, and "london" for L.

The rest is history...
